The Karanga Leather Industries Company Co. Ltd (KLICL) is established as a joint venture company limited between Public Service Social Security Fund (PSSSF) and Tanzania Prisons Service through its company known as Prisons Corporation Sole to undertake development and operate leather Industries in Karanga Area, Moshi Municipality.
The Karanga Leather Industries Company Limited (KLICL) intends to hire qualified, energetic, dynamic and proactive Tanzanians to fill the following position in the organization structure.
6. POSITION: Materials and Production Planning Assistant (APO) (1 Position) .
Main Areas of Responsibilities
• Manages Advanced Planning Optimizer department including implementing technical changes to raw materials for new product introductions, product modifications, specification changes, manufacturing equipment or process modifications, etc. Achieves stated goals and objectives relative to the factory performance and as defined within Manufacturing Department
• Develops and implements both long and short-term production plans, ensuring that factory output will meet Marketing and Sales strategies and goals. Coordinates on monthly basis meetings between GSC and Markets (Domestic and Export) Management in order to align on Sales Vs Production required plans.
• Plans and schedules factory production activity in consideration to sales forecasts, market trends, materials availability, factory production constraints, so as to result in optimized efficiency and balanced inventories.
• Monitors MRP performance and compares with set usages within SAP in order to propose a more realistic shop floor usage. Ensures obsolete items are not part of the working material list for Inventory Management purposes.
• Ensures Materials Requirement Plan is in line with the current lead times applicable in this region, volume growth within the Markets of interest, regulation changes affecting business in order to avoid out of stock situation, while assuring a balanced target inventory level in both raw materials and FG.
• Coordinates and aligns efforts in the following sections: Inventory Management, PPO and Customs clearance to ensure timely arrival in the factory of raw materials and other production related items in order to realize the required brand(s) production on the shop floor.
• Lead, develop and motivate his department team members to successfully achieve business objectives as well as ensure that appropriate procedures and methodologies are put in place and applied by the team accordingly to effectively deliver the intended results
• To perform any other tasks given by the Supervisor

Qualification and Work Experience
• Degree in material planning, finance of any other related field
• 3 years working experience as a planner in manufacturing industry
