About role
The Mechanical Technician provide engineering support in the brewery. This cover, asset care maintenance, breakdown attendance, actioning improvement initiatives

Role responsibilities
• Accountable for plant maintenance (plant, machinery, facilities)
• Manage shift operation independently (include all utilities, brewing, ETP and packaging)
• Understand and maintain Utility KPIs– co2, Energy (Electricity, Steam, Air) and water usage and Asset Care KPIs
• Implements maintenance schedules – advise planner on necessary changes/ inclusions to improve on plant maintenance.
• Effectively and safely execute maintenance breakdowns repairs and Complete 5why to establish root cause immediately after breakdown rectification.
• Coach the technical operators on technical techniques
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety requirements at the work environment.
• Any other work as will be directed by HOD/Team lead/Supervisor to ensure we meet safety, performance, legislative requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Qualifications
• A minimum of BSc Engineering (for Mechanical Technician)
Experience
• At least three 3 years’ experience in process engineering
• Understanding of industrial maintenance practices
