JOB DETAILS:
The main objective of this consultancy is to document the implementation of the Nutrition Compact to create awareness, share, inspire and sustain the good practices and achievements, obtained from the implementation of the Nutrition Compact since its commencement in 2017 and present recommendations and opportunities to improve its implementation.
How can you make a difference?
The key tasks of the consultant include the following:
• Organize an inception meeting with PORALG, UNICEF and other key partners
• Carry out literature review
• Perform secondary data analysis
• Conduct key informants’ interviews and or focus group discussions
• Conduct field visits in selected councils
• Organize stakeholders’ workshops to review and validate draft report.
• Prepare documentation products including a comprehensive final report, PowerPoint presentation and a working paper with key recommendations.
• Identification of journal/s for publication and development of first draft articles and submission for comments from PORALG and UNICEF.
• Revision of articles and resubmission of revised articles to peer review journal
• Support to review and provide inputs to videos and photographic content of the Nutrition Compact initiatives
Deliverables

• Conduct interviews, analyze data, and develop draft report, organize stakeholders’ validation meeting A final nutrition report including an executive summary. Approximately 30-40 pages in length, exclusive of annexes 22%
• Develop a working paper with key recommendations and PowerPoint presentation and present to key stakeholders. A PowerPoint presentation and a working paper with key recommendations 22%
• Develop two articles for submission to peer review journals. Two articles submitted on peer review journals. 33%
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
• An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Nutrition, Public Health, epidemiology, or related fields
• At least 10 years’ experience in Nutrition, Public Health, epidemiology, or related fields.
• Prior experience in implementation research and evaluation.
• Prior experience in working with government structures especially at local government.
• Knowledge of country nutrition context, policies, and relevant strategies.
• Prior experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, including writing and public speaking, and ability to negotiate with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
