JOB DETAILS:
VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Bank Ltd (VFT MFB) formerly known as SEDA is a fast growing and reputable Micro Finance Bank (MFB), has a loan book of more than TZS 30 billion and more than 40,000 customer base, more that 5,000 of them being small holder farmers. VFTMFB is seeking to employ a dynamic and committed Tanzanian young men & women who have passion for people’s economic development to fill in the vacant position detailed here below;

Responsibility:
Ensuring the smooth operation and security of our network systems.
primary tasks will include network installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance. You will also collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement network upgrades and enhancements
Ensuring the security and integrity of the organization’s network and information systems. Implement, monitor, and maintain various security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other potential security threats. Additionally, responsible for troubleshooting network and security issues, managing user access and permissions, and providing support to end-users.

Main tasks
• Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
• Implement network security measures to protect data and infrastructure from unauthorized access.
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan to address security incidents promptly and effectively.
• Perform data backups and implement recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Monitor network performance and ensure its availability and reliability.
• Conduct network performance tests and optimize network performance.
• Collaborate with supervisor to design and implement network infrastructure upgrades and enhancements.
• Conduct research on emerging network technologies and recommend solutions to improve network performance and security.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, inventory, and configuration details.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of network services.
• Implement and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, virtual private networks (VPNs), and other security appliances.

• Ensure compliance with applicable security standards, regulations, and laws.
• Maintain documentation of network and security configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Other tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor

Education/Experience
• In ICT, IT or Computer Science o Proficiency in network administration o Good knowledge of Microfinance or Banking o Good skills in self planning and execution o 2 years’ experience in handling network and system administration job o Proven work experience as a Network and IT Security Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, intrusion detection and prevention systems, VPNs, and other network security tools.
• Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO
• 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools, penetration testing methodologies, and security assessment techniques.
• Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools.
