Fintrac, a leading US-based agriculture consulting firm with long-term programs in Africa, Asia and CentralAmerica, is seeking an Office Administrator for the 4-year, Feed the Future Tanzania Mboga na Matunda.

JOB DETAILS:

Responsibilities:
The Office Administrator is based at the USAID/Feed the Future Mboga na Matunda Morogoro office and reports directly to the HR & Administration Manager. In addition to the specific tasks stated below, he/she is expected to contribute fully as a program team member, conducting himself/herself in a proper manner at all times as a representative of the program, and is responsible for the safe-keeping and care of all program assets assigned to her/him. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain staff calendar.
  • Provide administrative support to staff.
  • Supervise the Office Driver and Attendant.
  • Provide logistical support for events and meetings, including travel and hotel arrangements as per Company policy.
  • Identify and obtain quotes from vendors of goods and services in the region.
  • Maintain a hospitable environment for guests visiting the office.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks under the direction of the Senior Accountant, including compilation of an office expense report.
  • Procurement and management of supplier relationships such as the telephone company, internet provider, cleaner, and security staff.
  • Manage proper filing system for incoming and outgoing mail and other organization documents as required to ensure efficient office operations.
  • Support HR in recruitment efforts and orientation for local hires.
  • Manage the Tech Fund inputs and maintain inventory control for all project assets in the office.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Management.

Key Qualifications & Characteristics:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences or other related field with 2 years’ work experience.
  • Excellent organizational and management skills.
  • Good communicator with an ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
