ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
KEY OUTPUTS
• Support General Management in overall responsibility for the effect management and running of Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. To ensure the lodge and brand are taken to the next level of service standards.
• Assist in creating an environment where the &Beyond Golden Thread is continuously met and visible throughout the daily functioning of the lodge
• Assist the Hospitality Manager with day-to-day management of the Lodge, including North Camp, South Camp, Tree Camp and all the back of house departments.
• Work alongside the Management team in conducting evening hosting
• Overall responsibility for implementing service and hospitality training plan at lodge, including Butler training and any other service and hospitality training as needed to ensure the &Beyond service standards are achieved.
• Oversee and develop guest delight activities, including bush banqueting
• Work with the Hospitality Manager in requirements around operational stock orders, planning and timely orders
• Ensure communication between front of House and Back of House
• Along with the Hospitality Manager, oversee Room Checks and work with Housekeeping to ensure that standards are maintained and exceeded
• Work directly with head of housekeeping, butlers, camp managers and Management team to ensure &Beyond Lodge and Service standards are always maintained
• Responsible for maintaining F&B standards, wine knowledge and training, with support of the Hospitality Manager
• Daily meeting with Heads of Department to discuss the daily plan, including arrivals, departures, special requests, bush banqueting
• Hosting agents and media, group bookings and events
• Constantly evolving the guest experience to ensure we remain cutting edge and meet guests’ expectations.
• Support service delivery and training at other &Beyond properties as required.
• Support in telling the story of Wild Impact

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING PROGRAMS)
• At least 3 years Management Experience in a 5-star operation
• Hospitality and Service Training Experience
• Hospitality degree beneficial

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Energetic, proactive person with well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience and the ability to provide that experience.
• Motivated individual ready to go the extra mile for guest service.
• Aware, evolved, energetic, compassionate, respectable and strong leadership skills.
• Open minded and able to think outside of the box to anticipate and counter problems arising.
• The ability to motivate and inspire yourself and others.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
• Attention to detail
• Diligence and self-motivation to meet deadlines
• Willingness/ability to share information, teach and inspire others
• Good Computer skills and social media knowledge
• IT experience beneficial
• Food and beverage experience, wine experience/training/qualifications preferred

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff
• Previous experience in a five-star operation
• People management beneficial
