JOB DETAILS:
Provide clinical care and supervise clinical staff in the provision of pediatric HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, malaria, and general childhood diseases and conditions to patients at the Mwanza Center of Excellence (COE) and supported health facilities in the Lake District.Support medical, general health, and pediatric intern education on HIV/AIDS facilitate clinical sessions and intern extensions at the Center of Excellence, assist pediatric wards, assist morning briefings, magazine club, and other educational activities

Duties and responsibilities
• Patient care at the Mwanza Center of Excellence and support to outreach teams.
• Provide education for physicians and physicians-in-training on pediatric HIV and general childhood illnesses and conditions.
• Provide technical assistance to healthcare providers in the prevention, diagnosis, care, treatment, and complications of pediatric HIV/AIDS within the Center of Excellence, as well as supported health outreach facilities.
• Actively participate in the writing of proposals and scientific publications.
• Provide leadership to junior staff as needed.
• Drafting of quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports
• Other specific tasks were assigned.

Qualifications and skills
• Master of Medicine in Pediatrics or equivalent from a recognized and accredited medical school
• Registered by the Tanganyika Medical Council as a Medical Practitioner of Excellence in General Pediatric Healthcare
• Familiarity with general HIV care and treatment.
• Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of proposal and manuscript writing is an added bonus.
