Job Summary:
The job provides information to oversee and manage the full refining process of Edible Oil, to monitor equipment to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness of the Neutralizer, Bleacher and Deodorizer to minimize the losses hence achieve the expected field.

To oversee and manage the full refining process of Edible Oil, to monitor equipment to ensure the efficiency. effectiveness of the Neutralizer, Bleacher and Deodorizer to minimize the losses hence achieve the expected field, also responsible for the safe operation, better usage of chemicals, basic maintenance, hygiene of the plant and troubleshooting of the facility's equipment and instruments in compliance with TFDA, TBS and international Standards for edible oil refining process...
OIL REFINERY
• Reads, understands and interprets Oil refinery instructions daily, sets machines, runs machines to achieve plant efficiency, monitors machine set up to achieve the intended targets in line with Customer Specifications and oil refinery SOP's Receives refining plan from the Processing Coordinator daily, understands the processing requirements, checks and interprets processing requirements;
• Sets relevant machines and allocates the appropriate parameters daily to suit the oil grade being processed in order to meet the intended targets requirements; Programs and operates the system that operates the machinery, uses the system to start up the plant, shut it down and run the production of material;
• Keeps and maintains detailed reports of operations, updates process log books with activities and process adjustments made, noting any issues they encountered and measures taken;
• Keeps manual records and saves recipe for the machine settings that enable to achieve the best specifications and yields for future reference when processing the same grade;
• Sets drive parameters, checks for enough steam and water supply before oil refinery starts; Checks products, manually and also through QA results and adjusts machine setting in order to achieve the intended specifications;
• Monitors the refining Processes to ensure the quality of refined oil products and an optimal rate of production, all refinement processes to be carefully observed and maintained.
• Checks and Monitors edible oil refinery processes to ensure the quality of refined oil and attain optimal rate of production, all refinement processes to be carefully observed and maintained;
• Monitors and evaluates all rehnement equipment, machinery, and the quality of oil to ensure standards and effective production in neutralization, bleaching and deodorization, and to identify and forecast possible problems.
OFFSEASON MAINTENANCE
• In conjunction with the Processing Coordinator, implements the off season maintenance plan, reduces down time, coordinates installation and repairs of all electrical equipment and machinery in compliance with Pyxus Agriculture Tanzania Ltd Factory AOP Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees;
• In conjunction with the Processing Coordinator, participates in the reduction of maintenance cost by reducing the down time and enforcing best practice in the Factory Section;
• Inspects and repairs electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance to the Processing Coordinator;
• Analyses blue prints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems and for the purpose of determining the efficient installation of new or upgraded systems; Installs electrical systems and components (for example lighting, alarms, electrical panels, switches, circuits: Scoreboards, timers, street signs and so on) for the purposes of providing enhanced and/or upgraded electrical capabilities;
• Updates documentation of all types (for example schematic diagrams, SAP PLM maintenance and operational logs, instruction manuals) weekly: Test runs each machine after maintenance and or modifications ready for Processing;
ON SEASON / ROUTINE / PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
• In conjunction with Processing Coordinator, implements the 'on season' / routine / preventative maintenance plan, attends and reduces down time, coordinates installation and repairs of all electrical equipment and machinery in compliance with Pyxus Agriculture Tanzania Ltd Factory AOP
• In conjunction with the Electrical Manager discusses and prepares the relevant information for inclusion in the on season'/ routine / preventative maintenance plan to meet the Electrical requirements;
• Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees;
• Carries out design changes and modifications to equipment as per instructions from the Processing Coordinator in line with Factory best practices;
• Performs inspections of equipment and machinery, identifies and attends critical maintenance requirements (for example breakdowns, power outages and similar) to ensure throughput and downtime does not exceed the set target in line with the Factory Maintenance requirements;
• Researches, recommends and implements new and revised Electrical Engineering procedures, systems and equipment;
• Oversees the use, care, and operation of electrical and related equipment;
• Oversees and participates in repairing, installing, and maintaining high and low voltage electrical equipment and related devices (including hydraulics, pneumatics, transformers, power panels, wire ways, light fixtures, receptacles, and disconnect switches);
• Provides technical advice and support to operators, supervisors, City Engineering staff, and agency personnel; work closely with private contractors and engineering teams; Tests, locates, and assists in repairs on malfunctions in electrical and control circuits, switches, circuit breakers, motors and similar electrical equipment;
• Updates documentation of all types (for example schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, SAP PLM maintenance logs, instruction manuals) weekly:
• Identifies spares requirements and orders within the Section, and provides daily status reports to the Processing Coordinator regarding work progress and the status of all equipment;
• Ensures that the SHE, Security and ISO Policies and Procedures are implemented and adhered to throughout the relevant Factory operations in compliance with Pyxus International Inc. and Pyxus Agriculture Tanzania Limited SHE, and Security Policies and ISO Standards;
• Trains staff, or arranges for the training of staff in the understanding and application of the department/section and their own core functions and tasks;

Who you are and what you've done:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Essential)
• Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Instrumentation (Desirable)

Experience:
• Oil refining experience in similar environment with (2 to 4 years) in a senior position (2 to 3 years) (Essential)
• Bleaching, deodorizing, and hydrogenation processes with (1 to 2 years) (Essential)
• PLC experience in similar environment (Desirable)
