Purpose of Position
Healthy Entrepreneurs is an innovative company in Tanzania with a solid and sustainable supply chain; the Procurement and Supply Chain Officer (PSCO) is key to its success. The PSCO is continuously improving and managing the supply chain which reaches out to the more rural areas and makes essential health products and medicines available in rural areas. S/he is responsible for a constant flow of products from suppliers to the end beneficiaries. The role is an opportunity that challenges the person to think out of the box and come up with new and innovative solutions towards supply chain issues.
Duties & Responsibilities
Supply chain set-up and development
• Designing and drafting a local supply chain of products;
• Be the focal point for local, and regional suppliers of Healthy Entrepreneurs;
• Create and link potential partnership with local suppliers and supply chain actors;
• Develop and manage the standard operating procedures to make constant supply and quality of product and delivery possible to the end customer;
• Making forecasts and product adjustments based on sales;
• Take appropriate action about product use and market feedback, with the aim to reduce, increase or change the product basket;
• Meet the need of the customers by adapting the activities to sudden sales opportunities, shortages, increasing demands and scarcity in the market;
• Participate and report in procurement and supply chain meetings on an international level with other HE staff members from multiple countries.
