Brief History
Shambani Milk is a fast growing milk processing company branched from Shambani Graduates Enterprises Limited that was founded by 3 graduates from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). They started milk processing at the back of a house using charcoal stove; selling the processed milk products using bicycles in 2003. They kept their dream alive and surely it has come to reality 15 years later with a brand new factory, reputable brand and other assets including distribution tracks. What a blessing.

Business Model
Shambani Milk business model starts with fresh milk collection from trained and equipped dairy farmers in Morogoro, Mvomero and Kilosa Districts. Next is processing of the milk into 5 different products at a new factory in Morogoro Municipality. The products include pasteurized fresh milk, mtindi, yogurt, ghee and butter. Finally Shambani Milk products are sold in 3 different channels in Morogoro Town, Dar es Salaam and Dodoma Cities.

POSITION: PRODUCTION MANAGER
Take charge of the newly built milk processing factory at Plot 205 Block E, Tungi, Morogoro Municipality.

PACKAGE:
TZS 2 Million Gross Salary, 10% contribution (NSSF), 3% contribution (NHIF), free lunch on every working day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure marketing and sales get all the products needed in the right quality and quantity, at the right time, and at affordable prices.
• Own all touch points of milk processing from milk collection, to transportation, to processing, up to the point of sales. You will work in conjunction with marketing and sales department plus company leadership to consistently and effectively improve our products.
• Be the voice of the factory in all strategic meetings.
• Ensure our values are embedded within every interaction with our milk suppliers as well as ingredients and packaging material suppliers.
• Oversee all of the product handling and storage methods for maximum quality delivery to the buyer.
• Manage proper adoption and use of all systems, processes and technology that influences the production process.
• Assist in event planning and management to create mind blowing value and unforgettable buyer experience.
• Assist in the research to bring about development/upgrade of new products/services and technology if need be.
• Define structures, rules, policies and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the team to always deliver on our promise to buyers at a moment’s notice.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a milk processing factory or other perishable food processing factory.
• 1+ years of experience in leadership position managing factory operations.
• Possession of university/college degree/advanced diploma in dairy technology, food technology, and manufacturing fields is an added advantage.
