Rikolto in Tanzania is seeking a Programme Advisor to support the Vijana Kilimo Biashara (VKB) and Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress Towards Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment (JP RWEE) projects. This role involves overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities aimed at enhancing smallholder farmers’ inclusion in the sorghum and sunflower value chains in Singida and Dodoma. The Programme Advisor will work closely with stakeholders to build relationships, drive market linkages, and ensure effective project execution.

Rikolto in Tanzania is seeking a Programme Advisor to support the implementation of two key projects: Vijana Kilimo Biashara (VKB) and the Joint Programme on Accelerating Progress Towards Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment (JP RWEE). These projects aim to enhance the inclusion of smallholder farmers in sustainable trading relationships, improve food productivity, and promote economic empowerment for women and youth in the regions of Singida and Dodoma.

The Programme Advisor will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. This role involves working closely with farmers, local partners, and stakeholders to ensure the effective execution of project goals. Key responsibilities include identifying regional constraints and opportunities in the sorghum and sunflower value chains, coordinating technical trainings, and facilitating market linkages to strengthen food security and economic viability.

Key Roles:
• Coordinate sorghum and sunflower programme activities for VKB and JP RWEE in Singida and Dodoma.
• Monitor and document processes of change and innovation, analyzing the impact on smallholder livelihoods.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to promote sustainable sourcing and business development.
