REQUEST FOR TENDER –RFT SUPPLY OF SEAWEED FARMING EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS & SUPPLIES FOR COMMUNITY GROUPS IN MAFIA AND KILWA
1. INTRODUCTION
The World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to the conservation of nature through environmental management and sustainability programs. WWF's mission is to halt the degradation of the planet's natural environment and build a future where humans live in harmony with nature. WWF Tanzania Country Office (WWF TCO), through its Marine Programme, is implementing the "Mangrove Management for Climate Risk Resilience and Improved Livelihoods" project, funded by NORAD (Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation)

2. PURPOSE OF THE REQUIRED SUPPLIES
WWF TCO conducted a needs assessment in Kilwa and Mafia Island for community groups practicing Nature-based Solutions, including seaweed farming. One of the key needs identified was the ability to add value to seaweed by converting raw seaweed into finished products such as body oils and soaps.
3. ELIGIBILITY OF TENDERERS
WWF TCO invites bids from competent, reputable, and experienced suppliers, including manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors, who can deliver the materials needed for the value addition of seaweed described on the Lots 1-4 below the lots are independent).
4. HOW TO APPLY
Interested applicants may get the detailed complete list of items and specifications through the following web: https://www.wwf.or.tz/jobs_and_opportunities/consultancies_and_tenders/
All applicants should direct their soft copy of application to the procurement: e-mail at procurement@wwftz.org Deadline for submission is Friday, 27 September 2024 at 1700hrs.
WWF TCO reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the applications without assigning any reason. Late application shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstance. Only successful applicant will be contacted.
