JOB DETAILS:
The Security Lead is part of the Health, Safety, Security, Social and Environment (HSSE) team of the project. Security Lead reports to the project’s HSSE Manager. Security Lead is the first person of contact for all security matters on the construction site, offices and accommodation areas. Security Lead is responsible for developing security strategies, implementing security procedures, and supervising security officers and guards within Tanzania legal regulations and project security policies, procedures and processes as part of the Integrated Management System

Job responsibilities
• Collaborating with department managers to determine security needs.
• Planning, assessing, and implementing comprehensive security strategies.
• Controlling the security operations budget, monitoring expenses, and documenting processes.
• Supervising, interviewing, and training security personnel.
• Gathering security intelligence information from various sources and implementing preventative measures.
• Developing work schedules, allocating tasks, and monitoring security personnel performance.
• Coordinating responses In line with project, client and local requirements to emergencies and alarms, as well as compiling incident reports.
• Preparing surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facilitating repairs in a timely manner.
• Ensuring compliance with Company policies and security industry regulations.
• Monitoring security of in and out movements of project vehicles
• Travel and security patrol on project sites or as required
• On call 24/7 for emergencies

Job Qualification, Experience and Skills
Applicants should demonstrate the following:
• Preferably, Bachelor Degree in/with Security related qualifications or internationally recognized certificates.
• Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English & Swahili is required
• At least 10 years of experience as a security professional in senior level positions
• Extensive experience in preventing illegal activity and performing access control.
• Perfect knowledge of security industry regulations
• Advanced ability to coordinate responses to security breaches and threats.
• Availability to respond to security alerts outside of business hours.
• Clean record with no history of imprisonment or engagement in criminal / gang related activities.
• Excellent organization and communication skills;
• Experience and the ability to work in a multi-cultural team;
• High degree of personal and professional ethics.
• High degree of organization and ability to organize team task and objectives is essential
• Good report writing and analytical skills required, with proven attention to essential detail
• Computer skills, including MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS teams and experience in using data management software preferred
