JOB DETAILS:
Position: Security Supervisor
Roles and Responsibilities
• To support the Site Security Superintendent with day-to-day security related activities at the project site. This includes but not restricted to providing professional level assistance with development, delivery and management of security. Administer the day-to-day administrative affairs of the Security department.
• Supervising security personnel and daily security operations, including contract security rosters and shift changes
• Maintain relationships with key project stakeholders, including local government and security forces
• Aligning security activities with Perseus Global Security Management Standard
• Monitor the operating and administrative activities of the contracted security force as well as security equipment and implements assigned to personnel.
• Periodically inspect electronic security devices with contracted security force supervisor in attendance. The purpose of these inspections is to detect deficiencies and recommend corrective measures
• Conduct investigations on incidents that occur on the property, in con¬junction with security investigators and, when necessary, law enforce¬ment officials.
• Overseeing Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VP- SHR) training and adherence within the Security Team
• Ensure that security control room and administrative staff complete security reports and provide them to security management on or before the ascribed time
• Guard force supervision and oversight of adherence to post orders, area cleanliness and maintenance of individual equipment.

Qualification
• Tertiary qualifications in Security Management or equivalent

Experience
• Minimum of 10 years combined military, law enforcement and/or opera¬tional security experience
• 2 years operational experience in the extractive or Oil & Gas industry in a security capacity

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 120

Level of Education: Associate Degree
