JOB DETAILS:
The Fair Competition Commission is an independent Government Soddy established under the Fair Competition Act, 2003 (No. 8 of 2003) to promote and protect effective competition in trade and commerce and to protect consumer from unfair and misleading market conduct. "The ultimate goal of the Act is to increase efficiency in the production, distribution and supply of goods and services. The Fair Competition Commission {FCC} new invites Public Servants whose salaries are gained through Human Capital Management information System (HCMIS}
- ‘Lawson’ and wish to TRANSFER their employment service to FCC to submit their applications to fill the posts identified below:

SENIOR ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - FCC/SEO II/01 /2018 — 1 POST)

Reports to: Head of Enforcement

Direct entry qualification

• Holder of Bachelor Degree in the field of law from any recognized university;
• Working experience of at least four years in the relevant field;
• Possession of computer knowledge is an added advantage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Making a public announcement of the setting up 0f a formal inquiry under the Fair Competition Act;
• Ensuring that relevant guidelines are in place and adhered to;
• Advising the Head of Department on the report and recommendations to be put to the Commissioners at the end of the staff investigation stage;
• Providing Legal Support and advice to the Commission;
• Assisting Read of Department on presentation of cases to the Commission with appropriate recommendations;
• Assisting the Head of Department in supervising publication of reports;
• Assisting the Head of Department in supervising the preparation of the Commissions response to appellant's initial statement of case to the FCT;
• Providing regular reports to the Head of Department showing the flaw of cases; ‘
• Assisting the Head of Department in maintaining a Pubic Register as provided under Section 77 of FCA;
• Ensuring that the requirements and procedures regarding the confidentiality of materials in decided cases have been complied with during publication of any report; A
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department from time to time.

Salary Scale — FCCGSS 8

Thereafter the selected Public Servants will have to follow all necessary TRANSFER process according to Laws Governing Public Service.
