Singida Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (SUWASA) was established under section 3(1) of cap 282 1998 as repealed by section 60 of Water and Sanitation Act No.12 of 2009. SUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of Water Supply and Sanitation services in Singida urban within the Municipality.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, dynamic, experienced and performance driven Tanzanians to fill the following posts:
Senior Technician I (GIS)
Required Qualifications
Holders or an Ordinary Diploma or Full Technician Certificate in Computer Science, Geographical Information System, Information Technology from any recognized Technical institution with experience of at least of six (6) years in water supply and sewerage Industry. Computer literacy is a must and knowledge of geo-systems, geography, historical geography and computer architecture.
Duties and responsibilities
- To prepare and plan a variety of maps and drawings along with producing, maintaining and update representation data
- To incorporate charts, maps and data files into reports.
- To create and maintain files of digital pictures based on assigned area
- To interpret land descriptions, maps, charts, plans, survey records and aerial photos
- To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Technical Manager
- Age Limit: not above 40 years
