Six Rivers Africa (SRA) is a non-profit organization with a mission to protect, restore, and preserve wilderness areas, and increase the wildlife population so that the flora and fauna can be enjoyed for generations to come, as well as improve lives for communities living adjacent to protected areas.
JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a Service Bingwa for our Academy. The person will play a crucial role in providing high quality services to our guests and the team at SRATA in Mlungu Village, Mbarali-Mbeya.
Position: Service Bingwa (01) (Readvertised).
Reports to: Head, Six Rivers Africa Training Academy (SRATA)
Location: Mlungu Village, Mbarali – Mbeya
Start date: Immediately.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Meet guests when they arrive and getting them settled in their rooms.
• Link between the guest and management.
• Providing personalized service to guests
• Work hand in hand with managers and guides to make sure guests are satisfied.
• A butler must have a keen eye for details (in guest room).
• Anticipate guests’ needs by learning their (preferences, allergies, likes and dislikes,
• Have a thorough understanding of food and beverage.
• Assess and restock drinks in guest rooms per standard.
• Must be able to read guest moods and liaise with managers if need be.
• Serve meals and pour drinks for guests.
• Communicate and work with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned at the most convenient time for guests.
• Ensure guests’ rooms are clean and tidied up when necessary.
• See guests off when they check out.
• Always remain well-groomed.
• Keep up to date on policies for safety and hygiene.
• Perform all duties with discretion, professionalism, and a pleasant demeanor.
• Train students to be familiar with butler or service roles.
• Do any other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working in the Camps or Lodges within National Parks/Game reserves is a Must.
• Experience as a Service Bingwa or a Butler or similar role in the hospitality industry.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to as the guest need arises.
• Commitment to a high level of customer service
• Strict attention to detail
• Knowledge of area restaurants, theaters and other attractions
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with efficiency and discretion.
• Knowledge of food and drink pairings is a plus.
• A butler must have high level routine of personal hygiene.
