JOB DETAILS:
Duties and Responsibilities.
1. Ensure that children feel supported, encouraged, and free to seek guidance and help from the social worker with all their problems, both at school, home and at the Centre.
2. Encourage and motivate students to do their very best in school.
3. Develop a strong, mutually respectful relationship with Parents/Guardians and ensure parents/guardians understand their roles through regular home visits to assess family situations.
4. Develop a strong, mutually respectful relationship with social welfare office and school administrators for regular updates and information of children progress through school’s visits.
5. Increase awareness to Children of various future options (academic and vocational) and help guide the selection of a path that will lead them to self-reliance.
6. Maintain and update accurate and appropriate records in children files.
7. Compile weekly and monthly reports on all activities, indicators, case studies and lessons learned to share with the donors.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work.
• At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in working with children/youth environment will be added advantage.
• Ability to work independently, self-organize, use initiative, keeps commitments, and meets deadlines.
• The candidate should possess the emotional stability to lead and guide the large community of children and youth, by maintaining the required high standards.
• Ability to build positive working relations with local Government including Social Welfare department.
• Mature personality (male or female), stable socially and emotion- ally.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Computer literacy
