JOB DETAILS:
WaterAid’s new strategy opens new opportunities to achieve our vision, mission and aims. How its implemented will be critical to its success, therefore the role of the Strategy Change Team is to project manage and ensure all elements of the strategy are implemented in the most effective and efficient way. They will identify the most important strategic change initiatives and give them visibility, accountability and support to enable their successful delivery.
Roles and Duties
• Through the application of effective change and project management techniques, the Strategy Change Team will work with leaders and key stakeholders across WaterAid to identify required changes, understand the nature and level of any change impact, and will devise plans to enable the project objectives and their business benefits to be delivered.
• This will be a small team of project change managers who together will accelerate the pace of effective change by giving additional resources to big change projects and freeing up leaders to lead on substance and strategy.
• The team will primarily be facilitators who enable the ‘owners’ to do the work and achieve their goal.
• They would perform a variety of roles in support of individual change areas, primarily:
• Facilitating and convening sessions to bring stakeholders and teams together
• Keeping the process on track for deliverables within projects
• Replaying thinking back to specific teams and leads
• Linking projects to each other
Our ideal Candidate
• This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of managing delivery of any kind and wants to use those skills on wide variety of projects. To be successful, you’ll need:
• Understanding of WaterAid as an organisation and an appreciation of the complexity of the relationships across departments, countries and the Federation
• Strong project management and organisational skills, and a high awareness of the project context and discipline.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills: proven ability to analyse and synthesise information from different sources and able to replay them to a range of audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including facilitation and/or presentation) skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
