THE Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI)
The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) was established by the Act of Parliament
No.2 of 1996.The Institute is a semi-autonomous organization which operates at “arm‟s length” under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. The Institute has various roles which all stem on the main role of controlling Cancer in Tanzania.

Trainee Maintenance Engineer/Bioengineer III
REPORT TO: Maintenance Manager
 DUTY STATION: ORCI – DAR ES SALAAM

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establishing and implementing preventive maintenance plans for the Institute’s facilities;
  
• Ensuring the communication System of ORCI is smoothly operating
  
• Carrying out installations of machines and equipment;
  
• Implementing specified maintenance plans for machines, equipment and building;
  
• Supervising Technicians in maintenance of equipment, ground, and buildings;
  
• Maintaining Institute’s machines, equipment and building equipment’s as per manufacturer standards;
  
• Carrying out independently specified routine technical tasks which require a higher degree of technical knowledge and skills;
  
• Giving professional advice and guidance to hospital equipment users.
  
• Assisting in formulation of policies relating to maintenance of hospital equipment; and
  
• Performing any other duties related to his/her work as assigned by his/her superior.
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Holders of a good first degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or electro mechanics
