The Barrick North Mara Team is seeking to recruit a Underground Fixed Plant Supervisor join and grow our team.

Responsibilities
• Ensure safe work practices, i.e. attending compulsory safety courses and daily meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other relevant policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Field Level Risk Assessment completed accurately for every task assigned Minimum 1 PTO Completed each week.
• Team based Job Safety Analysis completed accurately for every task with a Standard Operating Procedure
• Ensure work requirements are identified from request/work orders or equivalent and clarified/confirmed with appropriate parties or by site inspection.
• Ensure resources required to satisfy the work plan are identified, obtained, and inspected for compliance with the job specifications.
• Ensure correct size, type and quantity of materials/components are determined, obtained, and inspected for compliance with the job specifications

• Ensure work is planned in detail including sequencing, prioritizing, and considerations made, where appropriate, for the maintenance of plan security and Capacity in accordance with system/site requirements
• Weekly review of planned vs. actual compared to weekly & monthly plans in respective areas/sections.
• >90% Compliance to Mobile Equipment & Fixed Plant Maintenance schedule ensure 100% Compliance to related Standard Operating Procedures in workplaces daily.
• Ensure 100% Compliance to agreed plans & schedules.
• Clear task assignment through asking questions to confirm understanding & agreement, provide task feedback daily.
• Ensure all Team members to have an IDP in place and >90% of development completed within planned timeframe- Based on Operation needs.
• 100% of performance reviews completed accurately within given timeframe.
• Interpret technical drawings.
• Perform engineering measurements.
• Ensure normal performance and function of the equipment is ascertained by Consulting appropriate reference sources in accordance with work plan.
• Work in accordance with Barrick/job requirements.
• Valid conclusions about the nature and cause of the fault are reached from analysis of available evidence in accordance with the work plan.
• Ensure proper repair and preventative maintenance in Fixed plant Mechanical equipment/machines are maintained to achieve production and cost targets.
• Ensure parts and components are selected and replaced as required in accordance with specification and work plan.
• Ensure final job inspection is performed and permits are relinquished as required in accordance with the work plan.
• Ensure work area is cleared of waste, cleaned, restored, and secured in accordance with Barrick safety standards / procedures.
• Ensure mechanical tools and equipment are maintained and stored in accordance with Barrick safety standards/ procedures.
• Budget Expenditure not exceeded monthly and annually- Focus on Cost Saving Initiatives
• 100% of Project Records kept, filed & maintained daily Team members time 7 Attendance 100% managed & updated daily.
• Handovers conducted at the start and end of every shift 100% accurately.
• 100% Compliance to all required Operator appointments, 100% of reports accurately and correctly completed and submitted on time.
• Interpret technical RCA (Root Cause Failure Analysis)

Qualification requirements
• Mechanical Engineer, Diploma in Mechanical, FTC, or Trade Certificate
• Must have valid Tanzania driving license
• Maintenance supervision skills
• Computer literate in the Microsoft Package Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Good Communication Skills, English & Swahili
• Demonstrates a high concern for health, safety, and environment

Experience and Competencies needed
• Pumping dewatering surface and underground
• 3 Years’ experience in similar role.
• Experience in mining industry is added as an advantage.
