JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Plant Production Supervisor
Department: Operations/Production.

Job Summary:
The Plant Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising production staff, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring that safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Production Oversight: o Supervise daily production activities, ensuring targets are met and products meet quality standards.
o Ensure smooth workflow by coordinating with other departments and resolving any issues that arise.
• Ink/Color Mixing: o Mix inks and colors to match clients' specifications, ensuring accuracy in shades for product consistency.
o Monitor ink quality and make adjustments as needed to meet customer requirements.
• Flexographic Machine Operation: o Operate and maintain flexo printing machines to ensure efficient production of paper cups.
o Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic repairs to avoid downtime.
• Material Management: o Oversee the counting and management of paper and other materials used in the production of cups. o Ensure accurate inventory levels and timely reordering of supplies.
• Common Machine Operation: o Operate and oversee the use of common factory machinery, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly and safely.
o Train staff on proper machine operation and safety protocols.
• Team Leadership and Management: o Lead, coach, and motivate production staff to meet production goals.
o Monitor staff performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Production Planning and Scheduling: o Assist in developing and executing production schedules based on client orders and production capacity.
o Monitor production output and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Quality Control: o Ensure that all products meet quality standards and client specifications, especially in terms of color matching and print quality.
o Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address defects or inconsistencies.
• Health and Safety: o Enforce health and safety regulations on the production floor.
o Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement: o Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
o Work with management to develop strategies for cost-saving and process optimization.

Experience:
o 5+ years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or production environment.
o Proven success in managing teams and achieving production goals.

Education:
o Diploma or degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing management, or production technology preferred.
o Certifications in production management or lean manufacturing are an added advantage.

Skills:
o Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and resource management.
o Knowledge of quality control and health/safety regulations.
o Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work on the production floor for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a factory environment with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
