JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for Manage Bulk Storage Facility (BSF) shift team to ensure production targets are met in a safe and efficient manner compliant to all food safety requirements.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan and supervise the daily work and performance of each employee on assigned shift, organize schedules, and assign work activity to achieve team and company objectives safely
• Together with the teams, achieve shift, daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets for respective area by ensuring that tasks are prioritized and planned in a logical, systematic and cost-effective way to optimize profitability
• Develop budget for BSF with Factory Head, finance business partner, optimization/ COE and manage costs effectively
• Identify areas where packing performance and quality management can be improved and manage the implementation of systems and processes to make improvements
• Ensure all BSF operations adhere to Food safety systems and quality management systems as required
• Ensure continuous improvement by implementing functional best practices and conducting physical inspections
• Ensure compliance with minimum operating standards
• Ensure technical reporting in compliance with company policy and procedure
• Manage product and packaging material requirements as per S&OP requirements
• Identify and monitor KPIs to track performance and flag any issues
• Promote and adhere to Illovo’s procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC)

Job Qualification and Experience
• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years post in Production or Warehousing environment in the sugar industry or FMCG equivalent
• 2+ years Supervisory experience
• Completed necessary training modules for area of responsibility e.g. Foreman Training Programme at the Illovo Technical Academy
