Job Summary:
The IT Administrator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of an organization’s IT systems and networks. They install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network systems while providing technical support to employees.
Key Responsibilities / Duties :
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, computers, and software.
• Manage operating systems, enterprise applications, and databases.
• Perform system backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Monitor and maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet systems.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware.
• Ensure network security by applying firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to staff.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly.
• Manage user accounts and permissions across systems.
• Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect data and systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Maintain an inventory of IT assets, licenses, and warranties.
• Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated systems.
• Document IT procedures, policies, and technical configurations.
• Develop user guides and conduct training sessions.
• Coordinate with external vendors for procurement, maintenance, and technical support.
• Manage contracts and service agreements.
Job Requirements
• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
o Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent are often preferred.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English language is preferred.
• Experience:
o Proven minimum 2–5 years of experience in IT support or administration roles.
• Technical Skills:
o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
o Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
o Keeps up with the latest trends in technology and security.
o Knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.
