JOB DETAILS:
Tanga Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (Tanga UWASA) is competitively best utility in the Tanzanian Water Sector, supplying clean and safe water and provides sewerage services in Tanga City. The Authority with the ISO 9001:2015 certification in quality management systems, is hereby seeking for a relevant qualified and highly motivated person to fill the following competitive vacancies available in her manning level.

 Key duties and responsibilities:
• Applies chemicals to untreated water in accordance with set standards and procedures;
• Cleans the water chemical mixing area, water chemicals tanks, water filters and buildings;
• Stocks water chemicals in accordance with the instructions of the Technician;
• Discharges dirty water from sedimentation tanks;
• Keeps water filters at established levels;
• Tightens water valves in accordance with the instructions of the Water Laboratory Technician;
• Monitors the performance of the treatment plant and informs the Technician in case of malfunctioning;
• Records the amount of water inflow and outflow at established time intervals by the Water Production Engineer;
• Comply with ISO requirements on the daily activities
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned by the Water Laboratory Technician from time to time.

 Qualifications:
• The holder of this position must have the following:
• Holder of Form 1V/VI certificate with Certificate in Science and Water Laboratory Technology or related qualifications from a recognized Institution;
• At least One year working experience with a reputable employer;
• Age Limit- Not above 35
